Luger P08 Holster – Hard Shell Black Leather

Rigid (“hard shell”) holster for the Luger P08 made of black leather, designed to house and protect one of the most iconic sidearms of the 20th century: the Parabellum Pistole 08, officially adopted by the German military in 1908 and widely used throughout both World Wars. The holster features a molded and reinforced construction, achieved by shaping thick leather to provide structural rigidity and protection against impact, dirt, and environmental exposure.

Its design includes a full protective flap with a front fastening system, typically using a strap and stud or similar closure, ensuring the weapon remains secure during movement. Internally, compartments were often included for accessories such as a spare magazine or loading tool. The reverse side is equipped with belt loops, allowing stable attachment to the soldier’s belt.

This type of holster was primarily issued to officers, NCOs, and specialized personnel, reflecting the dual functional and symbolic role of the Luger P08. The black leather finish became increasingly standard in military use, replacing earlier natural leather tones.
