Returns, withdrawal and exchanges policy

This policy governs the return, withdrawal and exchange procedures for products purchased through the War Militaria (Property of WMB International S.R.L.) website.

War Militaria grants consumer customers the right to request the return of products within 30 days from the date of receipt of the order, subject to the conditions, limitations and exceptions set out in this policy.

The 30-day period is a voluntary commercial condition granted by War Militaria and is more favourable than the statutory minimum 14-day withdrawal period provided for distance contracts under Articles 52 et seq. of Italian Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005, the Italian Consumer Code, and Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

This policy applies to purchases made by consumer customers. Different conditions may apply to orders placed by companies, resellers, professionals or customers purchasing with a VAT number, without prejudice to any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.


1. Customers residing or domiciled within the European Union

Customers residing or domiciled within the European Union may request a return in the following cases:

  • exercise of the right of withdrawal or change of mind;
  • request for product exchange;
  • receipt of a defective, damaged upon delivery, incorrect or non-conforming product.

For defective or non-conforming goods, the legal guarantee of conformity applies under Articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code and Directive (EU) 2019/771.


2. Return methods available for EU customers

For customers within the European Union, the following return methods are available.

A. Return via DPD Pickup point

War Militaria may generate a DPD return label and send it directly to the email address provided by the customer.

The customer must:

  1. print the label received by email;
  2. attach it clearly and securely to the parcel;
  3. carefully pack the product;
  4. drop the parcel off at the nearest DPD Pickup point.

A valid phone number is mandatory in order to generate the DPD label.

Service costs:

  • defective, damaged upon delivery, incorrect or non-conforming product: free of charge;
  • conforming product returned due to withdrawal, change of mind or exchange:
    • Italy: €8.90;
    • other EU countries: €12.90.

Where a cost is due, it may be paid by PayPal, credit card, bank transfer, or deducted from the refund amount.

B. Return with home pickup

At the customer’s request, War Militaria may arrange pickup of the parcel at the address provided by the customer.

The customer must:

  1. carefully pack the product;
  2. print and attach the return label, where required by the courier;
  3. make the parcel available on the agreed pickup date.

A valid phone number and the full pickup address are mandatory in order to arrange home pickup.

Home pickup is an optional additional service and is subject to the following costs:

  • Italy: €16.90;
  • other EU countries: €24.90.

In case of a defective, damaged upon delivery, incorrect or non-conforming product, the customer may use the free DPD Pickup point return option. Home pickup remains available as an optional additional service if expressly requested by the customer.

C. Return with self-arranged shipping

The customer may also choose to send the parcel independently, using a courier or postal service of their choice, to the following address:

In case of self-arranged shipping, we recommend using a tracked service.

War Militaria shall not be held liable for self-arranged returns that are lost, damaged in transit or not delivered to our address, unless liability is attributable to War Militaria under applicable law.


3. Defective, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming products

If the product received is defective, damaged upon delivery, incorrect or non-conforming, the customer must contact War Militaria before returning the parcel.

The request must include:

  • order number;
  • detailed description of the issue;
  • clear photographs of the product, packaging and any damage;
  • phone number, if a DPD label or pickup service is requested.

After reviewing the request, War Militaria will provide the relevant return instructions.

In case of confirmed lack of conformity, the customer may request, in accordance with applicable law:

  • restoration of the conformity of the product;
  • replacement of the product;
  • repair, where possible;
  • proportional price reduction;
  • termination of the contract and refund, where provided by law;
  • coupon code for the same value, only if preferred by the customer.

The remedies provided under the legal guarantee of conformity shall not involve costs for the consumer, within the limits and according to the procedures provided by applicable law.

Our items may be manufactured or sold with intentionally aged, oxidised, worn or antique-style finishes. Scratches, stains, oxidation marks, colour variations or other intentional ageing effects shall not be considered defects where they form part of the product description, finish, nature or aesthetic appearance.


4. Conforming products: withdrawal, change of mind or exchange

If the product received corresponds to the order, but the customer wishes to return it due to withdrawal, change of mind, product exchange or another personal preference, the return request may be submitted within 30 days from receipt of the order.

The product must be returned:

  • intact;
  • unused;
  • without visible signs of wear, except those strictly necessary for normal inspection of the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product;
  • complete with any accessories, components, instructions, packaging or outer packaging received;
  • carefully packed.

The customer is responsible for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

In case of withdrawal or return of a conforming product, the direct cost of returning the goods shall be borne by the customer, unless otherwise expressly stated or agreed.

After receipt and inspection of the return, the customer may choose between:

  • refund via the original payment method;
  • product exchange;
  • coupon code for the same value.

A coupon will be issued only upon the customer’s request or acceptance and does not limit the consumer’s right to a refund where provided by law.

Any shipping costs for the new product in case of exchange of a conforming item will be communicated before shipment.


5. Time limits for returning the product

The return request may be submitted within 30 days from receipt of the order.

Once the customer has communicated the decision to withdraw from the contract or return the product, the customer must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days from the communication of the return or withdrawal request, unless otherwise instructed by War Militaria.


6. Refunds

In case of exercise of the right of withdrawal, War Militaria will refund all payments received from the consumer customer, including the initial standard delivery costs, where applicable, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days from the day on which War Militaria was informed of the customer’s decision to withdraw from the contract.

War Militaria is not required to refund any supplementary costs resulting from the customer’s express choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery method offered at the time of purchase.

Unless War Militaria has offered to collect the goods directly, the refund may be withheld until War Militaria has received the returned product or until the customer has supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the customer for the initial transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed with the customer and provided that the customer does not incur any additional costs as a result.

Depending on the payment method used, the actual crediting of the refunded amount may take several working days, particularly for payments made by credit card or bank transfer.


7. Customers residing or domiciled outside the European Union

For customers residing or domiciled outside the European Union, War Militaria only offers return by self-arranged shipping at the customer’s expense, unless otherwise agreed in writing or unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

For shipments from non-EU countries, the customer is responsible for correctly completing customs documentation and for any duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, administrative charges or additional costs that may apply.

The shipment must be clearly marked as:

War Militaria shall not be held liable for customs costs, holds, delays, failed delivery or return to sender caused by incomplete, incorrect or non-compliant documentation.


8. Exceptions and exclusions

The right of withdrawal may be excluded or limited in the cases provided by applicable law, including, by way of example, the cases referred to in Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code.

In particular, unless otherwise stated by War Militaria, returns based on withdrawal may not be accepted for:

  • products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised;
  • sealed products that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, where they have been unsealed after delivery;
  • products which, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other goods;
  • products that have been used, altered, damaged or are no longer in a condition suitable for resale, unless the issue is due to a lack of conformity.

These exclusions do not affect the customer’s rights in case of defective, damaged upon delivery, incorrect or non-conforming products.


9. Return request procedure

Customers with an account

The customer must:

  1. log into their account using their email address and password;
  2. access their profile;
  3. select “Order history and details”;
  4. choose the order for which they wish to request a return;
  5. open the “Add a message” section;
  6. submit the return or exchange request, specifying the product concerned and the desired solution.

War Militaria will subsequently provide the return instructions.

Customers without an account

The customer may send the request by email to:

The request must include:

  • order number;
  • full name;
  • product or products to be returned;
  • reason for the request;
  • preferred return method;
  • preferred option after receipt of the return: refund, product exchange or coupon;
  • phone number, if a DPD label or pickup service is requested.

10. Receipt of return, inspection and processing times

Upon receipt of the parcel, War Militaria will inspect the condition of the returned products and verify compliance with this policy.

If the return is accepted:

  • the coupon will normally be issued within 24 hours from receipt and inspection of the parcel, if requested or accepted by the customer;
  • the new product, in case of exchange, will normally be shipped within 24 hours from receipt and inspection of the return, subject to availability;
  • the refund will be issued in accordance with the “Refunds” section and within the time limits provided by applicable law.

  • Directive (EU) 2019/771 on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sale of goods;
