Water-transfer helmet decal for M33 helmets of the Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano RSI. Soak in water for about one minute, slide it from the backing paper onto the helmet and let it dry. For added protection, a clear brush-on coating may be applied, but it is not mandatory.

Water-transfer helmet decal representing the insignia used on M33 helmets of the Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano, the army of the Italian Social Republic, active between 1943 and 1945. This type of decal is designed to be applied directly to the surface of the helmet, recreating the appearance of the distinctive markings used during that period.
Water-transfer decals consist of a thin printed film applied to a paper backing. Before application, the decal is immersed in water for about one minute, allowing the printed film to separate from the backing paper. The decorated layer is then carefully slid onto the helmet surface, positioned correctly and left to dry completely.
After drying, the decal adheres to the helmet surface. To improve durability and better protect the decoration over time, a thin layer of clear protective coating may be applied with a brush. This step is optional, but it can be useful when the helmet is handled frequently or kept on display.
The insignia of the Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano is one of the markings associated with Italian helmets used in the context of the RSI after the armistice of 8 September 1943. The M33 helmet remained one of the main elements of Italian individual equipment and continued to be used by military formations of the Italian Social Republic until the end of the conflict.
